Obsidian Gallery announces its exhibition "Natural Influences" featuring ceramic sculpture by Tom Kerrigan and Jose Sierra and fiber art and paintings by Jane Herrick.

Tom Kerrigan is a respected, internationally recognized artist whose distinctive, mixed media sculpture is a celebration of the essence of the desert. Texture is a common thread in his work.

Jose Sierra's porcelain and stoneware vessels are influenced by pre-Columbian art and architecture in his native Venezuela. The colors of the Andes and Catalina Mountains influence his palette of glazes and engobes.

Jane Herrick is a nationally known fiber artist. Her sculptural torsos and coat drawings are statements of her ideas, thoughts and emotions about who we are as individuals, how we see ourselves, how the world sees us, and what we often do to hold ourselves in and keep others out.

Exhibition dates are January 18, 2014 through March 2, 2014, with the Artists' Reception on Saturday, February 1st, from 6PM to 9PM.
